Altar Call Ministry Training!
Today was quite a slack day, the highlight of the day was the Altar Call Ministry Training at nite where all the YSGL and Aysgl have to go. First ate dinner with andrew, ding (dunno if spelt like this), joshua and chieh ming for dinner at the QQ noodle house. We then headed to main church, for the training. Eugene started with a short worship session before Sandy started of by sharing how God spoke to her during the GAP retreat, and how she was told that the leaders sld be kept in prayer, especially ever since a few years ago at the fairfield ym camp when there was a prophesy abt the leaders uniting togther as one. Well, Rev Wendy Watson then took charge, and teach us by practical methods of altar call ministry. It was kinda fun actually practising all this. And we really had a trial practical from the start until the end of altar call. We learnt how to move up to the front, how to catch people, and the little details too. It was quite a good crash course as we were taught every single minor detail. Even how to give the tissue, fold it, and what to say... And then it came to the more tougher demostration. Gladwin and Eddie demo this... Gladwin suddenly acted really violently, really like demonic manifestation. And eddie couldnt catch him properly... Gladwin acted soooo real lor! haha! was really funny watching it! Later he acted it again.. but this time, a few more man leaders "acted" to pin hm down, but he was a really goood actor man! Even the 3 guys like chieh ming, josh and andrew had difficulty pinning him. Rev wendy watson then taught them what to say to calm the person down. It was quite a funny moment tough! Sandy was also told to act some parts of spiritual manifestation and she acted really good, when she did the hysterical crying.... she was like crying violently! WAS SO FUNNNY!!!! Well, actually all this manifestations may be rare in a methodist church, and expected to be few, but i actually seeen most of this violent manifestation before at City harvest once after a special service. So i was kinda prepared to see this. oh well... it was quite a good crash course, and i'm expecting more to come when YM CAMP starts!!!

The looongest bus ride ever!!!
The looongest bus ride ever!!!
Today met up with ben tan and i recommended this hair stylist which i usually go to. This hair stylist is really one busy lady, just tying to get an appointment must be done way in advance. And her schedule is always packed due to her great hair styling skill and really cheap service. Onli 6 bucks! So we 2 got a nice hair cut, and after that the hair cut we wanted to return back to bishan from hougang, so we cross the road to take bus 88, and after a looooong journey, ben tan told me he saw the sign PASIR RIS! And i was like!!!! STUNNED! We boarded the wrong direction!!!! And i was like so sure we were on the right bus.... so we stayed on until just one stop before pasir ris interchange!!!!! We alighted and now had to cross the road! So we waited for quite a while before taking bus 58 alll the way from one end of pasir ris to the other end to bishan interchange. I really felt painful for my ezlink! SO EXPENSIVE!!!!!! In total it was like more than 2 hrs travelling to pasir ris and back to bishan! Well....at least this whole journey was faster as we had something to talk abt. Well i was letting ben tan hear my christian songs in my ipod, and recommending songs for him to play for our upcoming small grp retreat... then on the way back to his hse after lunch, we saw a guy on the side of the road with his motor bike on him, at first i tot he was lying down fixing his bike, until we walk nearer and he waved to us for help... his bike fell on his leg! OUCH! And we decided to go help him carry his bike up. Duunno if his leg was okay...The bike was really heavy man! it really needed the 2 of us and abit of help from him to get the bike up....
oh well.... me signing off now! 2 mor days to my small grp rereat and 6 more days to YM CAMP 06!!! can't waitttttttttt! =D

Great X-trainer Retreat!!! And successful combined sub-ministry nite Games!!!!
The past 3 days... was one really packed but FUN retreat!!! read to find out moreeee!
Day 1
Rush back from my FINAL DAY of school from tampines to buono vista and den to NACLI for the x-trainer retreat, and i was just in time for the "WAR GAMES"... it's actually suppose to be a totally different war game compared to war games u normally play. This time there wasnt any ammunition or bombs to attack each other... its more like a pure tactical game of gathering the full armour of God, either buying or stealing from another team. (I wont go to the full details of the game, bcoz i dunno if i'm allowed too) ....So at first i was expecting a very mild game, but it actually turn quite fun! We had like this life around our arms, and had 3 teams...so vyan and i so happen was in the same team so we decided to go off separate from our team mates.... There were other stuff in the game which i wont go into details.... When we bum into shashi team... we came to like a face off! His entire team of abt 6 ppl were there... and den with just the 2 of us..so it was like 6 on 2. A supposedly non violent game turn actually quite violent bcoz we were like grabbing each other shirt to steal the life on each other arms. Vyan was like jumping on shashi pinning him down, and i was like against hans... and the rest were the girls all helping in the attack..actually it wasnt suppose to be this violent bcoz the main focus of the game wasnt actualy to steal life... but to do something else.... but after vyan was being attack finished the rest like jumped on me... i was like pinned down with abt 4-5 ppl on top me, Hans and all the girls in that grp... well... we got shashi and hans life in the end... but we escape quite bruise ... but actually thru out this part, we were attacking in a friendly manner still, only it had to be rough to get each other life.... after from this "mini battle", vyan and me dominated the rest of the war games... stealing almost every life we got, and winning the captain ball game... well in the end... this game actually didnt meet its main purpose...we lost focused of the main objective, but instead turn into stealing life from each other.
After this... was dinner, some insturctional... and one of the Best YM GAP yet! Some of us x-trainers joined the YM gap ppl abt 11pm... and we then had a really goood worship session lead by Eugene. With a grp of abt 20 of us in one room... we sang really SUPER LOUD! But thank God we were the only ones in that room in that building. Actually thru out the start of the pray session and worship... i was actually having a headache suddenly... but den after the first grp prayer and we had the free worship... my Headache was suddenly goneeee! The presence of God was so real... that my headache was healed immediately!
Day 2
Vyan and me got up pretty early to go check out kent ridge park first, we manange to sort the place for the station games, and we waited for the rest of the x-trainers to come for the YOUTH GAMES! Now my long awaited game with my x-trainer grp has finally come. Our first game was actually abit of an impromptu change due to the balloons bursting automatically by itself..but the highlight of the day was THE "CHICKEN" captain ball game! The x-trainers really had a blast playing with the chicken...shashi was like having the most fun! He even pull out the chicken head and started playing with it. So my grp part was kind of a success! Next was... Vyan's grp... his grp took abit too long for the preparation, and shashi and sen didnt seem to please... so overall they didnt finish their game, and i actually pity his grp... we also den tried out some of the camp games during this period and end of with a classic x-trainer WATERBOMB battle! hahhaha!
After lunch i met up with my nite games planning grp.... to finalise on the logistics... and due to some unforseem circumstances moonie and cephas who were key ppl of the nite games cldnt come... so we had to go with our plan B... we did a detailed finalisation and met up again after dinner to finalised the rest of the nite games... we really took lots of planning for this game... and we really wanted it to be the highlight of the retreat, bonding all x-trainers,ushers and 12 stoners togther in one united Ym family!
In the end the Nite games was a SUCCESS! We had this concept of 8 teams finding clues to the murderer... and there was a twist to it in the end..as each team was to find a suspect thru clues they get from the 4 station games. And each player had a life too, and there were 2 secret henchman in this game, which was vyan and me, as we went around killing ppl as part of the game. In the end.... everything went smoothly! And the strange thing was during the game... there was this part when chieh ming team was guessing the suspect from the clues they got... which was hinting at me... one of it was the clue was (chinese is foreign to this person). So they tested my chinese skill and i surprisingly past it when they ask me to count 1 to 10 in chinese. Then clue 2, Although i was wearing the cj shirt... chieh ming tot stgabs was an anglican school (although clue said from a catholic environment for more than 10 yrs)... so at the debrief part...they got mine totally wrong. hhaha! Well in the end..... I really Have to say A BIG THANKS to my nite games team! They are VYAN, NICOLE, FONG, STACY and SHASHI! GREAT JOB guys! I got to say..this is the BEST grp i ever got for any planning! It was really fun working with them! And a very efficient grp! And definitely the best planning i ever done bcoz of u guys!
After this... as it was the final nite... it was really one loooooooooong nite. Our room became the gaming arena where one or two usher and a bunch of x-trainers including shashi and den chieh ming was there. Although i didnt really sleep till abt 5 am... i was actually stoning and taking short naps most of the time... and this VYAN AND KEITH put tootpaste on my face when i was taking a nap lor! I was really tired from the nite games... and only played a game of landlord just all...but later we ate prata take away abt 4 am for supper.
Day 3
Final Debrief and after glow!!! Detailed planning on Camp games and we check out!!!! Vyan and me then met some of our grp members, moonie!, laura, cherie and cephas at ywca. While at the ywca room... i had a mini fencing match with cephas using some rolled up paper! It was quite a fun fencing match and we den headed for Plaza Sing for lunch and den... catch the movie "HAPPY FEET" I give 4 our of 5 stars for this movie! Its a really cuteeee movie which is like a musical with with its really cool dance moves and a lot of funny moments which really justify the ticket price although we paid lesser due to 2 free movie tickets courtesy of cherie. Well wad an awesome weekend to the start of my holiday!

FINALLY TOMORROW LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!
FINALLY TOMORROW LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!
Yay!!!!! After a mth of juggling 2 modules this mth! I have finished eveything!!!!!! And tmr is just gonna be my submission of my model, precedent study and process work!!!! And den i will be away until sunday morning! Will be at X-trainer retreat!, which is combined with the other 2 ministry the 12 stones and usher! And its gonna be a fun time of bonding thru the NITE GAMESSS we planned! I really have to THANK GOD for bringing me thru this period! PTL! =D

FINALLY MY MODEL IS COMPLETE!!!!!
Wah.... today been quite productive.... I finally finished my FINAL MODEL..and i gonna call it "THE BENHEIM HOUSE". Now just left the process work and precendent study and i'm done!!!
Hanif and me also finish designing the Intergrated Resort for Culture and Expression! Really must thank Hanif for doing most of the work, bcoz i was too busy with my model!!!
Welll! The nite games planning and logistics are almost done too! So eveything's running pretty well now! And i really must THANK GOD!!!!! If not for the people around me who prayed for the night games, and also especially the guys DG, when they prayed for me to overcome this hectic period! And By God's Grace!!! I manage to finish a lot of work!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D

Making Models Models and more modelsssss!!!
Been making models the entire day, ever since yesterday until today... mock after mock and working abit on the final one too. Took a break and when Gym with wen hao before heading to TP for DG... it was a pretty short guys dg... did bible study on daniel, and den after that..played a couple games of BANG! while waiting for the girls dg to end... Now back to making modelssssss again!!!

WHAT A YM SERVICE TODAY!!!!.... YM revival coming?
WHAT A YM SERVICE TODAY! Visit from DOULOS too!.... YM revival coming???
Only just yesterday entry i was sharing an email abt YM revival!... and today service... it really struck to me.....that YM indeed really can start the revival coming! Yangshen lead today worship with a really great band, its like the best one..with all the talented ones coming togther in a looong time... and he really know how to get the Ymers on fire! He told Ym that... if everybody is dancing to the song! then it wont feel awkward... He taught YM some simple actions to the song "THIS IS HOW WE OVERCOME".... and i really was on a hyper mood oready! FINALLY! The worship leader is doing something at least to get YM to be really like camps! We sld dance and Jumped for the Lord! And most of the Ym really was sporting! And dancing to this song! And its the 930 service somemore... its not as dead as before... even the doulos ppl who was here for the first time was at the front was also dancing to the song! And with the YM CAMP approaching in 3 weeks time.... YM may really see REVIVAL in the near future!!!! After a wonderful worship session... The doulos people did a short drama before a short sermon by one of the doulous ppl... there were 5 doulos ppl... one from holland, another who was like from france, ukraine dunno where actually... and 3 more doulos ppl not sure where they were from. The msg was really good... and the dutch guy shared his testimony, which was reallly real and powerful. He shared how he use to turn to alcohol, drugs and really bad company... at just the age of 12... and how later in his life God change everything!!!!! And now his 21...here to share this to us.... his testimony was really encouraging! They also showed a video of the life at the Doulos ship, and its really awesome to see ppl from all over the world comng to serve the God together.
After that... had lunch with my grp mates at MAHATTAN Fish place at plaza sing... the fish and cheap is really goood! Then met up with nicole,stacy and shashi with vyan as we did a really detailed but really tiring whole new concept for the night games for the upcoming YM combined ministry retreat! And its really fun man!!! The toughest planning i did so far! The plot of this game is reallly gooood! And i actually can't wait for us to play it!!! But it's gonna be lots of work to make this a successful game!!! Well.....gonna spend the entire nite today..making another mock model!!!! Well... if i have the mindset that i'm doing this for God and not myself... i'm sure it will be a smooth week ahead!!! =D

Cool visit to VIVO city!!! and this really cool email i wanna share with u guys!
Cool visit to VIVO city!!!... and this really cool email abt YM i wanna share with u guys!! Do read it! =P
Met up with vyan and stacy at plaza sing for lunch, to actually to get the stuff for the nite games but we ended up discussing abt the nite games, and vyan came out with a totally new concept for the retreat games! And its actually quite a cool concept which we are gonna share it with the grp tmr for our final planning for the combine retreat nite games!We then we bought this really cool foam swords for the games too! yay! can have a fencing match with cephas with those swords..haha!!! well... then met up with some crusade ppl at the doulos ship, asriel, jac,wanteng and her bro.....wen hao and his church mates and my ANTOR! friend edric was there too!!! So it was a good fellowship with all this ppl, i even intro BANG! to the RP crusaders... haha!
Oh well... i really wanna share this email by our YM leader Sandy to the other leaders...Its abt the prohesy to YM REVIVAL!!!!!
"Few years ago when we had our youth camp at Fairfield Pri Sch, God spoke to some of the ym com. leaders thru 2 yths. One yth was speaking in tongue and the other was interpreting the tongue. The message was for the leaders - Every YM leader should be united in prayer for the enemy will come to sow discord among us to tear us apart and we need to be vigilant in prayer, steadfast in the Spirit. The many cliques formed among the yths will be broken and YM will be One. Whatever the yths experienced in the camp that yr, it wld happen again on YM Sundays....
For the past two years i was wondering how this wld happen in ym although now every comb. service i saw the yths were responding to God's invitation to various calls and i began to see that each step we take, we are walking closer to the mark that God had set before us. As we all joined our hearts in prayers, we cld see that God is bringing us closer and closer to what He has promised us that He will do for YM. Think about it, this is the awesome work of God. In the past, we've about 180, 220 and 280+ yths who signed up for camp. And YM is now about 350-380 strong and this year we've close to 320 yths who had signed up for the camp and it is taking plc at YWCA, the venue that we worship on every Sunday. My friend, that is over 90% attendance for YM 2006 Camp! Remember God's promises a few yrs back? God is great and He is worthy to be praised! How awesome is our God, how marvellous are His works! We don't juz pray, we count our blessings too!!! Back to the prophecy 3 ym camps ago, God is fulfilling His promises, can you see it happening? As I'm typing now, i'm filled with tears of joy, the thought of it and seeing it happening is overwhelming. For years we prayed and nothing seems to happen but we press on in our prayers and you know what? GOD IS MOVING, hallelujah, GOD IS MOVING....and soon i hope in a few more years time, who knows, it will be time for REVIVAL! Get ready everyone, get ready.
I urge you brothers and sisters in Christ, pls remember the young people in your prayers. We could only do so much, our 2 to 3 hrs a week ministry to the yths are limited and there is so so much more that we COULD NOT DO to help our yths but ONLY GOD CAN and it is through yours and mine prayers- for our prayers do the things that we cannot do, ONLY GOD CAN.
What difference does it make when you pray regularly? You'll begin to discern things in the spirit realm, your spirit-man within you will begin to operate by faith and you'll be more sensitive to the things of God, and God will speak to you through His still small voice, His Word, in visions, dreams and through godly people. When you seek God often in prayer, you'll recognise His voice and He will give you His wisdom and discernment. We operate by faith because we are Kingdom people.
"Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." Matthew 18:19-20

Doulos visit to TP campus crusade!!! ... back to my late niets finishing model! =(
Doulos visit to TP campus crusade!!! ... back to my late niets finishing model! =(
Today Crusade LM we had the doulos ppl visiting us!... the grp was also much larger today, one of the largest LM we ever had, with quite a number of crusade staff visiting us too. Well there was 4 ppl from the doulos ship that came, and they were all from different nationalities, first a guy from philippines his name was daniel i tink, then christel from America, A south korean (forgot her name, i tink is pronouce something like young sook not sure), and a singaporean who took 10 day leave to work on the ship, he was joshua.... And it was really cool hearing their personal experience as they travelled around the world in this floating bookshop. The south korean was the longest serving, she served abt 5 yrs oready and she has visit up to 70 over countries, she shared her life testimony on how she became a christian, and her testimony really encourage me a lot, it really kept me thinking about my calling in life. Anyway... this ship alone had ppl from abt 55 different nationalites. It was also really cool hearing personally from them their journey on this ship. After LM we had dinner with some of them and we cld ask questions and talk with them as they shared more abt their life there. And they all had a common thing abt their journey on the Doulos ship, they all felt this was a life changing experience and they will never get bored doing this, thats something the korean lady said. And christel even said she wanted to stay on the ship forever... well it was a memorable experience.
Well... now i'm back to one of my most busiest period of my life, its like back to the space form module...i'm experiencing a sense of De Ja Vu now... it s like 4 am plus, and i had to rush over the nite to do a miniature mock model, 15X15 cm... and tmr i must bring it for consultation, and at the same time i still have my other module assignment to juggle with, and i havent done any yet!!! ..and then there's the analysis part for my current assignment on the Iowa Advance Technology Laboratory too, by famous architect Frank Gehry. And i'm still have tons of work to do!!! I'm not even couting my visual journal yet! so i'm like! ARGHHHHHHHHHHH! =(
(pictures of the mock model i just did... workmanship is quite bad actually, bcoz i'm tired! But this just the mock anyway...and rachna may just pull apart my model!!, Its in a scale of 15X15 cm)

Another Great YM SERVICE!!!...Good DG today too!
Another Great YM SERVICE!!!...Good DG today too!
Yesterday Ym service was GREAT MAN! Eugene the worship leader really got YM to a good mood! And i felt soooo goood even before the service started, i was quite tired the nite before from all those planning! But with the first song ONE WAY!!! to start the service! I immediately felt super hype out! After the great worship session... they showed a short video clip of this really cute show, VEGGIE TALES... but when we went back to our small grp, i was actually quite stone at the start... started to feel the tireness, from the busy day on saturday.
After church headed to ACS International for a rematch of WESLEY YM against FAITH METHODIST! This was the church we trash 10-0 the last time... but this time... Faith methodist had a lot of new players, with a super HUGE Goal keeper... and i really mean HUGE! I heard he was some national rugby player... no surprise.... well... this time we had a lot of new players... with a total of abt 20- 22 players altogether... and it was a bad game... we lost 4-2... it was a bit hard since there were quite a lot of new players too, so was hard mixing well... oh well.... now we are like on a bad run like liverpool....
Today went gym with wen hao, and it was a long time since i gym... quite a good work out...before heading to Tp for my DG... this time Glenn manage to come... and it made Dg more interesting. We did the topic abt Moses and the burning bush, well mainly abt our calling and fears.... actually... i dunno wads my true calling yet... i noe we are all called to evangelise like what the Great Commission said... but i still want a clear answer what God has install for me... and this really set me thinking again... Well...basically theres Wesley Ym and Campus Crusade in my life right now... and i noe for sure that my heart truely is to YM, but i'm so active in crusade and i actually like serving in crusade too...... anyway still waiting for God to speak to me somehow. And i tink i'm ready to obey whatever he says. =D

Looonng day of X-trainer preparation and retreat planning!
Looonng day of X-trainer preparation and retreat planning!
i'm really shacked and tired now...wont make this entry to draggy,well been with the x-trainers the entire afternoon preparing for the camp games as well as my grp youth games for the retreat. And then right after that... met up with nicole and fong and manage to drag stacy and yewjin along too, to help me plan out the nite game for the combine retreat! Vyan was sick, so i was left incharge... well.. it was a really good session! We had over dinner at Burger King.. and believe it or not... My Meal cost like only $1.50 bcoz THANKS to yewjin we all had this $5 voucher for burger king food!
the rest of us ate, grace entertained us with her anecdotes and her many hot guys. haha. then she left and we started planning for night games at retreat. it's gonna be one verrry clean night games again!! just like last year's ym camp's night games! and fong and i were like, FOCUS!! FOCUS PEOPLE FOCUS!! haha. and to think he was the one rambling on and on about star wars. but anyways we got everything done, and laughed a lot about raisins and grapes and sheep hearts.(extract from nicole blog..lazy to type..haha)
And this is the best planning i had so far... this grp i got was WONDERFUL!!!! They were all really involve shooting in ideas, and really "FOCUSING" at times and surprisingly we got everything done in abt an hr! And FONG was the main man! He came out with really cool ideas! And the fellowship we had was great too... Thanks guys! you made my life much easier! well...now just a little touch up to the games...and we are done! And now, i'm to tired to do my assignments tooo... altough there this assignment i have to observe ppl in public transport and write down stuff abt them. I feel like some stalker man... guessing wad they do, work as, and stuff like dat. Oh welll! TMR issss gonna be one GREAT YM SERVICE!!!!!!!!!! and wesley gonna win against faith methodist chruch again in a soccer rematch!!!! YEA!

Final Model for assignement 1! and YM GAP!!!!
Final Model for assignement 1! and YM GAP!!!!
Didn't really blog for the past couple of days bcoz was really busy with projects and assignments. First of all, been doing our a grp work with izzati,julian and atiqah for our assignment 1 project. We had to do a deep analysis of Zaha Hadid building, The Rosenthal Centre of Contemporary Arts. And yesterday, we spend almost the entire nite ever since the space form block to finish our model. Izzati and julian mainly did the model where atiqah and i did more of the analysis. We even met super early in skool today to do some final touch up before our presentation. In the end i tink we did a pretty good job!!!! Phew! Now i've just gotten my assignment 2 which is gonna be much more tougher! And looks like more models again! arghhhhhhhhh!
After then went for culture and expression class after that, and as usual we watch more videos, this time it was a video abt photographers in the vietnam war. They showed the extent this photographer go even at the risk of their life just to capture a good picture. Class ended a bit early for me today. So had a long time before Gap start, andrew, keith and vyan all had stuff on, but good thing nicole was free too. So met her first before heading to church for Gap. This time nicole lead worship, followed by sandy sharing a passage in the bible. And one of the main pray request Sandy and andrew brought up was, that we really need to pray for the leaders in YM, as normally they are the first to get spiritually attack, and also for the leaders to be united and catch the same vision. This is something which i believe are areas we really need to pray for as the camp draws near. Later as we broke into grps, the pray session was really good, i'm getting more comfortable praying openly especially since it was with vyan and keith,the "changemakers" pray buddies for Gap, we really cld open up a lot more, and the pray session was really pure and honest. This is something Ym Gap has helped me in my pray life, learning from my mistakes and trying to pray better day by day....during the pray session, i tried something, i really wanted God to speak to me or to show me something somehow, so i prayed first and i randomly open up my bible and pointed to something. It was Zephaniah Ch 3, The Future of Jerusalem. After Gap i when to ask chieh ming for some advice of what that passage really means, so he gave me abit of history abt the books around that time before explaining to me that passage, I learn some new stuff abt the bible which i believe could benefit me somehow. Well i dunno if i can infer from that passage properly but as i read thru it, it somehow struck me, maybe it actually meant something, i really dunno???... ok i actually better not anyhow say this. But thats just something i did just now. Well...after supper at carl junior, chieh ming was really eager to play bridge, just to see me lose...and yeaaaa.... i lost! Sighhh.... Anyway tmr will be one busy day! helping the x-trainers the entire afternoon to get some stuff done before camp and then need to meet up with nicole and Fong for the combined retreat nite games!
well, i heard this sunday YM SERVICE is gonna be really GOOD! Can't waittttttttt! =D
