Exactly 10 years ago on this same day, on 9 December 2005, I had a divine encounter with the Lord which changed the entire course of my life.
Then I was this very shy, quiet 16 year old youth who was attending his first ever youth camp after his o'levels. I still remember the vivid scene of that first night rally on Day 2 of that camp. It was a message that challenge us to surrender our lives fully to God.
After that message, I felt a deep conviction in my heart. I took a step of faith to respond, and made a conscious choice to surrender my life fully to Christ. As I step out of my seat and knelt at the front of that hall. I suddenly experienced a deep love of the Lord that just shed abroad in my heart.
It was a deep assurance of His presence in my life that not only convinced me of who He was as our Heavenly Father, but it transformed me to pursue Him entirely & compelled me to have this burden to share this love of Christ to others around me as well!
He eventually called me to serve Him "Full-time" vocationally, as I began serving as a youth worker for a couple of years before entering a seminary, which is where I have been for the last couple of years.
Today, a decade later, on 9 December 2015, as I reflect upon this faith adventure with the Lord. I probably would not be testifying of this great love of Christ today if I didn't choose to surrender my life to Christ and to delight in Him each day.
