Had a great time catching up with really old good friends from st.gabs today, mainly shahreel,nicholas,mason,darren lee and rajan (whom i have never seen for 3 years!, infact the last time i saw him was o'lvl results day!!) it was quite a nostalgic time as we all met up at AMK Hub! Had a nice lunch together! Talking about army! hahas! Half of us there is going in very soon!
After that we caught the movie TRANSFORMERS! Half of them there watch it like 2 or 3 times already! but bcoz it was so good they wanted to watch again! AND i was really amazed by the show too! The action and emotions of the show was so good that it overwrites the critics of how bad the plot is! I didnt even bother abt it in the end! Im just in awe at the reallyyy cool fight scenes! =)

Being Focus on God!
Just came back from a YM leaders retreat over the weekend at Hangout@ Mt Emily! And i sure did meet God there especially on the last hour before the retreat ended...
I actually realised that ever since after the Family Church Camp 2 weeks back... i think i kinda lost focus from God in someway, in a very very subtle way, not like i didn't do my daily devotion with the Lord, but somehow...it was something so subtle... its only after my recent trip to Tioman with my small grp that i actually realised it more... to be honest i wont call it a "retreat" , more of just a "Holiday"...as the only spiritual thing we did was to pray before meals! We didnt pray at the start? we didnt pray at the end! We actually didnt even thank God for all that he done for us!! And I dun think we had even had much spiritual conversations at all? Only on the way back home when finally had some short spiritual conversation with moonie abt our grp! And adding on to that was when i came back home, when God spoked to me in such a direct way from his WORD in my internet homepage of biblegateway...
this was what it said!....
“The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”- Psalm 121:7-8"
This was where! It reminded me that we should really be so grateful! And benlei even called me the next day to talk to me abt this issue im talking abt now! We certainly was all carried away with the many activities and we kinda lost focus on God so easily!

Day 2...(the last hour)
The day we all met God! It was amazing!!!!! As we all the leaders gathered in a circle in one body of Christ... and suddenly the Spirit just moved among us! As ALL the leaders there just knelt before the Lord in Surrender during our worship to Him! In that moment... a thought reminded me of pentecost in Acts! When the Holy Spirit just came upon us all! And it felt like that! It reminded me of the prophecy of YM too when "the leaders unite together in prayer"... this is where REVIVAL will come! And that sight HAPPENED yesterday! God thought me the importance of just humbling myself and turning my eyes and FOCUS to HIM solely! And thats when i knewww GOD presence was among us! GOD YOU ARE GREAT! =)

... this is my heartfelt prayer!

Wesley Ym Tchoukball Introductory!
24 June- Wednesday!
Did a Tchoukball introductory session to a bunch of wesley ymers @ the lovely fort canning park! We are really fortunate to have this nice flat area just behind our church to play such a game! Its like our Home ground! =)
Was pretty surprised by the big turn out! About 40 plus both crosstrainers and other wesley ymers from as young as sec 2 to university!
(Doing the introductory session, telling them the rules & history about Tchoukball!
(Getting use to the passing of balll!)
(Getting use to the Frame, doing 90 degree shots)
(Explaning that 2 hands is needed to tap the ball in a foul or turnover)
The Tchoukball MATCH UP!
(The flat area with use for our Tchoukball match @ Fort Canning!)
Now we are ready to start out a Wesley Ym Tchoukball team for both guys & girls!!! Next traning session next wednesday before we have our first match up against a new team from Youth Development Centre(YDC) next friday! Very excited for that match up! =)

The Adventures of God's Clay in TIOMAN!
Read about the amazing journey we went thru from 20-22 June! The most unprepared trip where God just provided transport after transport for us and continued to protect us all!
We went thru this adventurous journey! Was Swept into the open sea for 4 hrs on Day 2! Our kayak even capsize! Lost the oar! Lost snorkling set! Drank alot of SEA WATER! Climb mountainous rocks! Trekking in the jungle at night in pitch darkness! And the awesomeeee starssss and strange green light sparkling phenomena we saw at low tide at night!
And on the last day,God showed me with this verse at biblegateway when i finally reach home and turn on my computer!

I was like WOW! God really is a FAITHFUL GOD!!!!
Saturday,20 June Woke up about 5am! Reached Sixth avenue bus stop at 6.15am!

After reaching larkin... we were all rushing to see if we sld take bus or cab down to mersing as we were afraid of missing our ferry to tioman which we did not booked at all! So we bargained with the cab drivers of a cost from larkin to mersing..from 200RM to 135Rm per cab! thats the best we cld... although it was abit ex!

Steph,moonie,benlei & me woke up at 6am for sunrise and started exploring the beach!

The tiring but adventurous day...... This was the day we got swept into the open sea for more than 4hrs! So this was how the story went... We rented a couple of kayaks and some snorkling sets that day,we saw this platform in the distance from our beach and thought lets kayak and swim there! After muchhh effort we managed too! We sun-tanned,relaxed awhile at that platform before we did some snorkling around the area...so some pretty cool sea corals, this huge eel and many more creatures...and soon we realised a bunch of us was swept into the open sea by the currents!
And another grp kayak actually capzised! And lost the oar & a snorkling set! Dunno how that happened! So a couple of us came to them to try to overturn the boat and all! Later we tried searching for the oar but to no avail...and when we tried to swim back to that platform! Espeically me when i had flippers on which was abit big and i only cld do breaststroke with it which makes it not movable at all! I look down to sea that i was swimming like 1 cm at a time AGAINST the currents! And after much much effort & drinking down up to 6 cups of sea water!
Some of us finally reach to that platform! We rested a while before heading back to shore to meet the rest, by than we were all KNOCKED OUT!

From 11pm onwards we were gazing at the awesome starry night! Saw about 6 shooting stars that night!
About 1am! The NIGHT walk to the super low tide sea in the DARK!
(We saw a lot of sea cucumber at shore!) And we saw this amazing STRANGE PHENOMENA! When we step on the coral area at low tide! We could see green sparkle lights beneath our feet! It was such a surreal sight! I went to google it to find out that is some Bioluminescence from corals or plankton when distrubed...

The longgg journey home! Left melina at 1130am... but only got back singapore like 9.30pm! 10 hours in total of boat,ferry,bus,cab!!!

At larkin station, we were loooking for a taxi back straight to Singapore, and we were offered by this 2 random guys to sent us back to our doorstep for just $10! So we carpooled in 2 cars! Was a little concern at first bcoz it was total strangers! But we got back safely in the end!

Back from my adventurous tioman trip...but will blog about that either tmr or weds!...
Anywayss just some cool happenings before i left for tioman with my small grp!
Some of us went down to Sion Christian Church to introduce tchoukball to this bunch of students there!... it was quite amazing on our first day before we reach...as somehow as qiuyi and me rush from third place to there... first our bus just came on time! Then when we reached joo chiat, we were lost for awhile finding this church... and out of no where! Some random auntie offered to give us a lift in her car without us asking! It was quite amazing! Really like some GOD sent person!
(introduce tchoukball to this youths!.... after that lynn one of the national players shared her testimony to the students there on how she came to know Christ thru tchoukball!)

Wesley Family Church Camp @ Hotel Equatorial Melaka 2009
Back from a really refreshing FAITH enriching Family Church Camp! It was the BIGGEST church camp wesley ever held! With more than 700 over ppl signing up! And im really so glad i got the chance to come for this camp! It was originally a camp where God's clay wanted to go together as a grp ... but some how circumstances changed when we arrived, we found out that we were all place in different grps! And than that was where we were led to help out with the really HUGE youth grp there and i sure have no regrets at all!
And wow! Benny Ho sure was one really annointed speaker, i was truly inspired and encouraged so intrinsically after each message!It just gave me so many SMILES on my notes... =)

Topic Conversational Prayer.. intergrating Theology with Prayer
2 Chronicles 20:1-20
Jehosophat was against a VAST ARMY! He gathered his people and PRAYED.
He asked God 3 rhetorical questions abt his Character... (v.6 - v.12)
1) Are you not? (The Sovereign Lord).... YES!
2) Did you not? (drive out the inhabitants)... YES!
3)Will you not? (Deliver us again)........YES!
He was turing his people to the LORD!
The main point of the passage! 15 He said: "Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the LORD says to you: 'Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's.
And from verse 20 onwards they saw victory! =)

How to make your Faith Dynamic!
James 2:14-26
This session was really close to my heart as not long ago, i wrote a long article on Faith! And everything that Benny shared here was soooo assuring to what God has taught me over the years of what Faith is!
The 3 kinds of Faith!
1) DEAD FAITH 14What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him?
17In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
Illustration: of a teacher who taught the class on the law of physics of the pendulum on how every swing it will stop shorter... The teacher ask the boys abt it, and they all knew it will stop short! Until the teacher tested one of the boy, where the teacher attached a stone to it, and swing it at the boy equidistant to the release...the boy squirm away! This shows that the boy knew HEAD knowlege that the stone will stop before it hit his nose, but in his heart he didn't really act what his head says... So this is an example of what Faith without action is...its DEAD!
2) Deceptive Faith
You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder. James 2:19
Demons too believe that Jesus is the Son of the Living God... but they still continue in their evil acts... "to kill,steal and destroy"
3) DYNAMIC FAITH
20You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? 21Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. James 2:20-22

And wow! Benny Ho sure was one really annointed speaker, i was truly inspired and encouraged so intrinsically after each message!It just gave me so many SMILES on my notes... =)

Topic Conversational Prayer.. intergrating Theology with Prayer
2 Chronicles 20:1-20
Jehosophat was against a VAST ARMY! He gathered his people and PRAYED.
He asked God 3 rhetorical questions abt his Character... (v.6 - v.12)
1) Are you not? (The Sovereign Lord).... YES!
2) Did you not? (drive out the inhabitants)... YES!
3)Will you not? (Deliver us again)........YES!
He was turing his people to the LORD!
The main point of the passage! 15 He said: "Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the LORD says to you: 'Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's.
And from verse 20 onwards they saw victory! =)

How to make your Faith Dynamic!
James 2:14-26
This session was really close to my heart as not long ago, i wrote a long article on Faith! And everything that Benny shared here was soooo assuring to what God has taught me over the years of what Faith is!
The 3 kinds of Faith!
1) DEAD FAITH 14What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him?
17In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
Illustration: of a teacher who taught the class on the law of physics of the pendulum on how every swing it will stop shorter... The teacher ask the boys abt it, and they all knew it will stop short! Until the teacher tested one of the boy, where the teacher attached a stone to it, and swing it at the boy equidistant to the release...the boy squirm away! This shows that the boy knew HEAD knowlege that the stone will stop before it hit his nose, but in his heart he didn't really act what his head says... So this is an example of what Faith without action is...its DEAD!
18But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds."
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.
2) Deceptive Faith
You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder. James 2:19
Demons too believe that Jesus is the Son of the Living God... but they still continue in their evil acts... "to kill,steal and destroy"
3) DYNAMIC FAITH
20You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? 21Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. James 2:20-22
The story of Abraham & Rahab who demostrated great FAITH!
We should believe with our Hearts not our Heads!
"Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight." 2 Peter 3:4
We should allow the Word to interact with our Spirit!
"As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead." James 2:26

One of my personal favourites of the 3 days! As he went thru the people who walk the hall of FAITH! And its really amazing hearing the different ppl who have walk the race in Faith before us!

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

FAITH is the currency to HEAVEN!
"I have that quiet confidence inside that God will keep his promise!" =)
Do not bargain down ur faith when hard times come! GOD WANTS TO RESURRECT YOUR DREAMS!!!! =)
