FUSION 2010!!! GEL!!! TCHOUKBALL!!!

(the beatiful sanctuary at PLMC!)

Sunday
Today taught my youth small grp GEL on how they can do their own individual bible study at home! I sure was really encouraged by them today! As they all took the effort to really read the word and learning how to do the S.O.A.P method to study the bible!

Which can be found here..

http://www.livingroom.org.au/blog/archives/soap_life_journaling.php

Life Journaling, using the SOAP acronym, is a way that some people find useful. The method is simply a matter of following the letters of the word soap. It is probably most effective when you work through a book of the bible, reading a different chapter each time. (some people find every day helpful) You will need a bible, a pen and something to write in. Use a journal to keep your reflections together.

Scripture - read the chapter that you have chosen. Don't skim over it or read it too fast. When a verse, phrase or word stands out or catches your attention, write it down in ur journal. (make it a maximum of two verses)

Observation - what is it about that verse or that phrase or word that kind of struck you? What is it that seemed to catch your attention? What insight or observation do you actually want to write down? Write your observations of the verse in your journal.

Application - how does your observation impact you? How should that thought, that observation, that insight, actually change you? God isn't speaking to you to increase your information; He's speaking to bring about transformation. He wants your life to grow, to develop, to change. Again, write your thoughts down. What might God be saying to you through this verse? What action will you take as a result of what you are hearing from God in this way

Prayer- Respond to God with a prayer. Write to him as though you were writing a letter. Tell him how you feel about what you've read, tell him what you think.

After church...
Had a really good lunch meeting with the XT core! And headed off for TCHOUKBALL!!!

(shared with the grp today on how we can continue to prepare for this TCHOUKBALL MINISTRY to happened more in future weeks to come!)

April 2 - GOOD FRIDAY!

(we all prepared and ready to leave for our R&R)

On a side note, i was sharing with some friends abt the significant of Good friday
while waiting for our bus to come, i rmb telling a couple of them that every year in s'pore it wld somehow rain abt 3pm onwards, this was due to what the bible said, "33At the sixth hour darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour " And you know what... by 3pm EXACTLY we were in the bus to Taipei city and it started to POUR HEAVILY!!! Coincidence? i dunno, but after that i reminded my friend again abt wad i told him that morning, and i think he sure was surprise abt wad i said for awhile.

Our first stop! JANFUSUN FANCY WORLD !!! Never had such trilling rides in my life before!

(The first one the flying submarine G5! where we there was this 90 degree steep angle whooshing straight down at the speed of 110 km. You will be pulled down by the force of 5G, crash into the black hole, and experience the awesome special effects of gravity so strong that we clnt scream even if we wanted too!.... and the crazy coaster which had a double cork scew!!! amazinggg rides!)

(this hole was the DROP OF OUR LIFE to the unknown!!!!)

That night we took a trip down to "ximending" , its like the orchard/bugis of taiwan! The lights and buzz of the place sure starstruck us for awhile!...can't you find me in this photo! =P)

April 4- EASTER!

Headed with brannon to this Church that his friend recommended him to go, so it was like some adventure finding this church just us alone in taiwan! and so happened both of us were really bad in chinese! And soon we found the church, it was NEW LIFE church a affiliated church with City Harvest and the atmosphere of the church sure was very similar to CHC, only that this time everything is in chinese! And the ppl sure was friendly as usual! As we met this taiwanese usher who tried to make us at home, she was quite excited to hear that we were from Singapore, but most of the time we had trouble communicating with her and her friends. I would say throughout the whole 3 hrs service i only understood less than 5% of it! And this really showed me how BAD MY CHINESE was! =/...

i think i will die in taiwan alone! It was so hard to order food without my friends!

(THE second tallest building in the WORLD..TAIPEI 101!!!... headed there for lunch after the church service before walking around the place for awhile before we tried the taiwan train back to our hotel!)

And after all those!!! Back home to SINGAPORE!!!!
......
I think the main thing i would miss is the niceee COOL WEATHER in taiwan!

(The encouragment memos we wrote for B11 aka "TEAM BANANAS"!)

(I like this quote from lychee! It kept as motivated thru out the walk of our life!)
