Campus Crusade TRP SM Retreat!!! 13-15 Sep!!!!
Since wednesday to today...its been one hectic week for me again! Now with my final projects for visco and colour! And it has been extended into my HOLIDAYS! Arghhh! ...anywayI had to go skool first before meetin up with the rest of the crusaders at Safra changi for our TRP SM planning retreat! Had our first session after dinner..first watch a video by John piper... the message was abt being "Captivated by God thru the Gospels" The thing that spoke to me most from this msg was abt sharing christ to the pre believers. And wad was stoppin them for accepting christ, this den reminded me of the times and times i tried sharing christ with my good friends... and ALWAYS! they are BLINDED and cannot see the light. So normally i get quite discourage when i share christ with my friends when they tend to move away from the topic all just dun accept it at all. AND i have yet to share christ with someone and that person accepting christ yet. But from this message it encourage me that THRU GOD! we can open the eyes of these ppl! And conversion is a MIRICLE! We broke into smaller grps and shared with each other. During the sharin i shared briefly my testimony and for the second question i shared abt how mayb the last time i share christ with my friends was maybe for my own purpose and not for God? Well... its says ONLY God can open the eyes of these ppl..BUT! he send us to help open their eyes thru him!.... After this we had a long plannin session with our own individual ministry... by the end of this we were way overtime... scheduled to end at 10 but ended abt jus before midnite. It was a loooong nite this time! We were suppose to sleep at 2 am, but in the end most of us stayed awake PLAYIN BRIDGE! and some watching TV! Which was the MAN UTD vs CELTIC match! Yippeee! I was playing bridge and watchin the match at the same time and btw..MAN UTD won the match 3-2! YAY! The surprising thing was..yup min watch soccer too! But she support ARSENAL! BOOOO! ....oh well... in the end we slept abt late 5 plus... 5.40 am for me! daniel and me was squeezin in the same single bed lor..bcoz bo chun took the whole of the other bed...oh well... woke up like 2 hrs later! BTW it was BO CHUN BIRTHDAY today!
DAy 2!... morning worship was GREAT MAN! Even in such a small setting we cld praise God the way we wan to! And we had some of my favourite songs like "At the cross", "now that you are near" and u noe what! ONE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even with jus 2 guitars and only abt 10-14 of us there... some of us were jumpin when the song came! "ONE WAY! JESUS! you are the only one dat i cld live for!" Thats the way praise sld be! We sld worship freely and express it!
then there was the second video msg by john piper..this time, to be honest i was stoning...tryin to stay awake... i didnt really get this msg...only knew it was stressin on teaching. I den had to rush to skool again!... Got back and had a in depth TP crusade plannin which lasted abt 2 hrs. Had skits and appreciation nite... AND it ENDED of with a bang! We had 2 HYPE PRAISE SONGS to end the nite! And it was ONE WAY AGAIN, followed by King of Majesty!!!!! This time almost everyone in the room was so HYPE and jumpin and praising freely! WHAT a nite!!!!! And as usual..another sleepless nite! This time...we played MAHJONG! and so coincidently... this chalet..the building 34 is the EXACT same chalet buildin i been too the last time, and learn mahjong here too! We played mahjoing thru out the nite...as well as watch the movie HONEY!!! I really love the endin part of that movie man..with the song "i believe" and the cool dance moves by the kids! We even replayed that part twice lor!... surprisingly Irene was still awake by 3 am plus... tot she was the kind that slept early... but in the end everyone was still awake..i tink... and the girls watch some korean drama in our guys chalet almost thruout the nite... in the end i slept abt 5 plus as usual.... while i tink bo chun and wanteng watch till abt 6 plus... we all woke up prety late the next day..and we had to check out by 10... so we rush of...and some of us went changi airport for breakfast which became lunch! and i was late for skool! arghhhhhhhh...but well i rather spend my time with the crusaders! =) This time.. rush thru my visco... and painting of the bin... the pics below are those i done yesterday... today i painted most of the background...and the cool thing abt the endin part of today was... this design guy i dun even noe or seen before from the other class i tink... jus walk past me and complimented my shirt (which was a christian design) and he den briefly talk to me..like wad church i was from... and he intro himself to me as stanley... and after that he walk off.. i was thinkin... I MUST intro him to CAMPUS CRUSADE! But before i cld ask him that he was in a rush to go off oready! Oh man! Jus miss a new freshie to introduced! Well hopefully i can see him again next week when we are doin our dustbin design. (this is really God's plan for this total stranger to intro himself to me suddenly, who was a christian too!)
Btw today Tp was quite in a hype mode too... AS SINGAPORE IDOL FINALIST HADY and JONATHAN was here! The design skool was the only skool still active so the ppl around was like all talkin abt them lor! but i miss the chance to see them though.
Oh well... tmr gona be another hectic day! goin skool early mornin to continue on my dustbin paiting den rushin of hte church of leaders meetin and den after dat to TRP BBQ!!!!! And joelle,wen hao and me will be doin the games!!!
