YOUR WORDS MATTER!

YOUR WORDS MATTER!
Sunday!
Well this post is from the very good sermon by Adriel loh last sunday which i felt was very applicable to all of us and want to share with you all. Anyway last sunday I somehow ended up staying in the same service twice for both 930 and 1130 listening to the same message! So somehowww had further insights from the second time hearing again!

1.Your words can make or break others

James 3:6.9- The tongue is like a fire. We can use it to bless or curse others.

The devil is out to destroy our faith, you really don't have to help him.

2. Your words can make or break the circumstances.
(the real hero is the one who inspires others even though he is sacred.)

John 6:63- The words of Jesus are spirit and life

Here comes the CRUCIAL practical part which i really believe is very important when we pray! Infact is something which i only recently realise how true it really is!
Heres two kinds of prayers:(Prayer of surrender first before praying into God's will)

1)NOT MY WILL BUT YOURS BE DONE- prayer that changes you (the prayer that changes you) (the prayer of TOTAL SURRENDER) (the prayer which Jesus prayed at Gethsemane in luke 22:42)

2)THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN- Prayer that changes the circumstances (Praying IN THE WILL of GOD)(we shouldn't have those kind of prayers of little faith which says if its God's will then do it, but instead WE SHOULD pray in FAITH which prays INTO THE WILL OF GOD! proclaiming upon his promise! praying into his WILL!)

And this is something which i have learn to be true more and more each day as God strengthen my Faith in him after the many times he showed his greatness in my path when i just claim upon his promises and prayed with absolute FAITH!

Prayer is the conduit through which power from heaven is brought to earth!

We become agents of change to pray the will of God into existence!

3. Your words can make or break yourself
"That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9
We should CONFESS and SPEAK it out with our MOUTH of positive Assurance of God's love for us! We should constantly remind ourselves! We are a Child of God! GOD LOVE US!JESUS IS OUR LORD!

Speaking words of FAITH will EMPOWER us. Speaking words of negativism will paralyze us.

Roms 6:4.5: We are united with Christ in His death and resurrection.

Two substitutions:(2 parts of the gospel)

1)Christ died for us-this is the basis of our forgiveness!

2)Christ lives in us-this is the basis of our VICTORY!

God doesn't want to change us, He wants to EXCHANGE us.

Satan wants us to look at ourselves. God wants us to LOOK AT JESUS CHRIST! =)

WHAT ARE YOU SAYING TODAY?

Below is a very powerful beautiful song that we learn at service today!

God of This City- Christ Tomlin (pause playlist to hear)

You're the God of this city
You're the King of these people
You're the Lord of this nation
You Are

Bridge:
For there is no one like our God
There is no one like our God

Chorus 1:
Greater things have yet to come
Great things are still to be done
In this city
Greater things are still to come
And greater things are still to be done here

Verse 2:
You're the Lord of Creation
The Creator of all things
You're the King above all Kings
You Are

You're the strength in our weakness
You're the love to the broken
You're the joy in the sadness
You Are

Chorus 2:
Greater things have yet to come
Great things are still to be done
In this city
Where glory shines from hearts alive
With praise for you and love for you
In this city

Greater things have yet to come
Great things are still to be done
In this city
Greater things are still to come
And greater things are still to be done here
