Today had another fruitful metoring session with gladwin, followed by a good time of last minute preparation for the night games for the retreat!!!

Its been a very purposeful 3 days coaching and building relationships with this guys! I'm so going to misss them! Its actually quite enjoyable and joyful talking with kids with this really strong and pure child-like faith.

The last few days been involved in this soccer camp coaching kids from primary sch to secondary sch!Been waking up at 6am! and going there extremely early all the way in tiong bahru at shelton college.
Anyway the cool thing abt this camp there was a sharing of the gospel during the break time.

And i didnt know i wld actually have so much FUN coaching this kids! I was given a grp of primary sch kids! from as young as pri 2 to sec 2. Taught them the training drills i used to go thru in primary sch and sec sch days.
Day1
The last few days i had kids calling me "COACH"... its sooo weird lor! Bcoz im like the youngest coach there with the rest of the coaches in their 20s to 40s! And i really enjoy the interaction with this young kids. They really looked up to you! And talking with them,coaching them and playing with them really is a JOY! And like a year ago.. i thought i would NEVER ever work with kids! even thought of leading sec 1s in YM was out of my option last time. But after this.. maybee i might consider! heh.

And another highlight wld be actually meeting my st.gabs soccer coach Mr Loh Ngiap Tai again! Had a nice time catching up with him after not seeing him in ages!

DAY 2

IT RAIN!!! and it was a blessing in disguise!...as after awhile... Eric one of the YFC staff also the one incharge of this event then called FICO sports field! WHICH WAS INDOOR SOCCER! IT was soooooooooo COOL travelling there from shelton college. And i got to know this 2 guys from st gabs primary! One of them is a brother of my stgabs sch mate. And is the current soccer captain of stgabs pri, and the other now playing for home united. Had a very nice time talking to them!

Anyway loveee my grp! I had this VERY talented soccer player Gordon who was only pri 6! and he dribbles and shoots like an upper sec! Btw his a MAN UTD FAN! heh!...also realised this generation of kids ALL SUPPORT CHELSEA OR ARSENAL! Looks like they only support the TOP teams lor! you know i had SIX supporting arsenal in my grp of 10 kids! only 2 man utd!grhhh...

Anyway today had the CHANCE to play!!!!We form a coach/helper team of 5 and played in the idoor field against the secondary sch guys! AND we WON ALL OUR MATCHES!!! so we dominated the field for more than 12 games straight! With me scoring 5-6 goals! ok maybe we kinda bully them abit. But it was FUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN! AHHAHAHH!

The 24 Hour MARATON day of activities!

The 24 Hour MARATON day of activities!

Started Friday (3-6pm)
with the TP CAMPUS RELAY RUN! represented my course with some of my course mates and lecturers in this 7 X 1.5 KM relay run! And when i thought 1.5km is a piece of cake after been running distances as far as 5-10.5km! But i was actually much tougher...as this time it was a SPRINT. So i was sooo coinfident, as soon as Dee dee pass the baton to me i sprint pretty fast! And i realise that its quite tough to sprint ALL THE WAY! My timing was 5 mins 28 Seconds. Pretty decently good actually. As we were competing against TRACK and FIELD runners we thought as long we not last can oready! But in the end we manage to finish at least somewhere in the middle out of 36 others teams. MY HAMSTRING was really ACHING right after that sprint!

After this event...rush of for YM GAP!(8-10pm)
It was another good time of praying..and FINALLY "the changemaker buddies" of keith and vyan are back in GAP together ever since earlier in the year! With wenhao and samuel joining us too!

My insight experience as a Christian going to a club(something i never knew abt actually)
Before i start this section... i just wanna share that i know many Christians are against clubbing, even I was ONE WHO USED TO BE STRONGLY AGAINST IT! But after going specially with this wonderful bunch of Christian friends with the right intentions of having a good time of fellowship. I actually saw it in a different light now, and i can't judge clubbing until i really been in one! And i can say GOD GRACE was really with us that night... will tell you ALL that happen!

After GAP..Met up with the other ymers like vyan,keith,wen hao,elliot,kenneth,soe-na,denise and annabel! And most of us were actually first timers just wanting to experience wads all those hype abt clubbing, and we were REALLY FORTUNATE...when we met denise friend who was a VIP to MOS. Who not only help us cut the looooooong queue, but got realize we dun have to pay a cent! As he got ALL 9 of us FREE entry into the club. And not just that... as soon as i entered inside..this random guy suddenly just came to me and pass me 3 free drink coupons. I was SHOCKED at first as i didn't see what he suddenly drop into my hand until I realize wad it was. And when i thought our good fortune ends there... IT DIDNT...denise friend showed us around the club and when we finally agreed to chill out at the PURE room.. he TREATED us to one absolute vodka bottle with 2 jugs of sprite and cranberry drink! and rmb still have the 3 drink free coupons!... We realize that at least more than $400 was spend on us including entrances fees if we paid! And the entire night playing all kind of drinking games really just brighten up the fellowship we had. I gotta admit this is the first time i drank more than normal..bcoz i used to take very low levels in the VERY rare times i drank before this. AND i somehow always got saboed in the games.....I NEVER came close to feeling that the alcohol had hit me. I didnt know my limit is much higher than i expected. NOT BAD! ...but we all made sure of when to stop. WE ALL REALLY CONTROLLED ourselves very well....

Maybeee i did get a little HIGH on one occasion and was a little tipsy for a moment. But overall my head was perfectly fine. And It was really a BLAST OF A TIME!
We really had soo much fun! Some of us, Especially me was NOT INTENDING to dance at all! but somehow..after feeling a little high...we just felt... why not just try it out at the dance floor! And the Retro room one was FUN!... we all came out with WACKY dance moves! RETRO STYLE!!! i really cant describe the feeling..but it really FELT GOOD! EVEN wen hao enjoyed it! And before that he was also quite against it. Looks like we really have to be in it..before we can judge. And sometime which i felt GOD intervened was..later i realise that suddenly 2 out of the 3 free drink coupon i got STRANGELY DISAPPEAR from my pocket! It seem quite hard to drop out because i was wearing jeans, which has tight pockets. But i felt that...maybe God actually wanted us to stop at the last free coupon. So we accept the lost. And only got one more cup after that. At the end of this REAL clubbing experience... i will say that...as LONG you go with the right intentions,able to control your alcohol level ,AND i believed its better if you go with the right people,better if close Christian friend so one can watch out for one another. I wld say why not...

We were having soo much fun until we didnt realise that it was 4.30 am! TIME REALLY FLIES when your having fun! And i originally plan to leave like abt 1 plus and not to stay at keith hse... but somehow.. my plans was change after spending time with them.. and so rush back to take my stuff and stayed over with the rest at keith place.

I didnt one to sleep as i KNEW that if i slept at this time like 5 plus..i will surely feel like crap the after that and cant wake up... so since i was WIDE awake still, we all tried to stay up. We showered, ordered macs breakfast at 5 plus, played some bridge, talk abit...and one after another.vyan knocked out! followed by wenhao!...breakfast came abt 6 plus...and sooon..elliot and keith knocked out.... and the ones left talking over breakfast were denise,annabel and me. And somehow... the conversations we had started to become deeper and had even talk abt spiritual issues. AND i can say..i would never had such a deep purposeful conversation with them if i never stayed over in the first place. Bel knocked out soon after... and it was around 7 plus oready...and somehow...denise and me were still wide awake! Our bodies were getting tired..but our MINDS were really WORKING! With such serious deep conversations on YM, our small groups and even our christian lifes processing through our minds.THAT DEFINITELY kept us awake. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME EVER i stayed up till this late feeling THIS AWAKE...normally i wld be quite tired by this time... but it was a really purposeful time....

And by 9am... rush of to Toa payoh methodist church for the benny ho talked on "walking in the FAVOUR OF GOD" it was a pretty good talk..and now as i blog abt this and reflect back... GOD really was in favour of us through out the night! We had blessings after blessings coming to us even without us asking for...

Rush of for soccer(3-6pm) right after that..between wesley ym and pentecost methodist...by now..i KNEW i cldnt take it physically oready.. i may have survived the seminar.. but RUNNING! that i know i cant last...and so only played awhile..and had to sub myself out after awhile..as i KNEW my legs

came home and CRASH after dinner at 8pm! slept all the way till sunday morning!

Thats the topic for my FIRST crusade DG under Glenn this semester...
And as usual..... im sooooooooooooo LOVING his DG sessions! HAHA! sorry glenn if i make your head grow bigger =P... but seriously... im inspired by the way you lead us! Thats how i got this enjoyment when i lead my guys too!
We studied on Luke 14:25-35...

Disciple: A learner and follower of Jesus Christ. The term ‘disciple’ is similar to the word ‘student’ or ‘pupil’ and the requirements to be a student varies according to maturity level and desire to learn.

To be Christ’s disciple
-we must put Jesus above every other person in our life
-our will and plans must be subordinate to His will and plans
-we must place Christ above any other thing in our life;our relations, our plans—everything is subordinate to our love and devotion to Christ.

This are just the basic requirements. We cannot give half of ourselves to God but He
requires the whole of us. And He will also empower us to have the strength to surrender to Him
as long as we are willing.

Oh well.... soooo exicted abt tmr!... going to represent my course with gifford,brandon,dee dee, imma and with 3 other IAD lectuers in this TP Campus Relay Run tmr!!! And looking at our team...we have a waterpolo/sailor, a squash player, rugger, a soccer player! quite hopeful for us of winning the BEST course in TP! whahhah! =P

FAITH and ENCOURAGEMENT
From last nite and this morning i was praying and thinking what i sld do with my crusade guys for DG today. I wanted to share something different from the usual crusade material as i completed 2/3 of the crunaction curriculum already... And i was actually inspired from the personal "preaching" i had the nite before..so was thinking of sharing something from it. And as i learn yesterday...that we sld share our testimony to edify and encourage. So i was thinking maybe I can do that with my grp and do a short sharing on something i learn...

And GOD reassured me what i sld share... as i did my QT this morning.... only the night before i learn abt FIRST HAND FAITH... and before i opened up my QT book..i was actually praying in FAITH for my eye as soap splatted into my eye as i was washing up before doing my QT....it was hurting...and i prayed by FAITH for the pain to subside..and soon enuff..it did...but ...what struck me more was...when i opened my QT book after praying.... GOD spoke right into my heart when it i read...the titled..."How Faith Affects Our Lives"... and it then gave me the inspiration of sharing abt FAITH to my guys later in DG...

DG time... Only John and Jem cld make it and with Eric sitting in with us today too...and for the first time ever, i did a sharing on my own...not from any material...but just from GOD leading me.I shared something really right from my heart..as i reflected back on the many times GOD revealed so much to me just from simple steps of FAITH. And i wanted to open up the time to the guys to share too their experiences from FAITH. In the end.... the whole session really was spirit led as the different sharings open up.I didn't actually follow the plan that i had actually prepared but i believed that we were all encourage by one another sharing..from second hand Faith too First hand Faith... to end of the good time of DG... we really had a spirit led prayer session at the end... it was really AMAZING!

And we tried this cool thing with the other DGs today...wenhao, joelle and me all had our DGs in the design canteen at the same time and same day. Thus we were able to have more fellowship together after that. FUN GOODY GOOD TIME!

FIRST HAND FAITH...

FIRST HAND FAITH...
Just came back from a family friend daughter 21st Birthday party! And i really didn't expect to take back so much today. It all started out of a little obligation for me to go, as i didn't know anyone personally there... and since this rare time im free for the night. So i guess why not just come along... well.. FOOD was awesome! the surprise was at some VERY NICE rooftop garden in an office in Geylang...

anyway the highlight of the day for me was actually when my dad's friend who was a pastor sat with us. And for the next 2-3 hrs he and his wife shared a lot of first hand experience with God.. it was like a very personal preaching to me mainly. And i just nod my head every time i agreed on something and I didnt speak much at all. But sooo many stories they shared were really soooo amazing and inspiring on how GOD has been so real in their life! And how strong their FAITH was.. i can tell they are one of the strongest Christians i ever met in my LIFE. Their FAITH was so real and TRUE...an example was... halfway it started to drizzle..and the wife just said and PRAYED OUT LOUD ..that the rain will stop! In Jesus name..and INDEED it stopped! They shared how REAL the authority given to us IN JESUS NAME was! And it was indeed!she shared her testimony of how she fend of a robber by SAYING IN JESUS NAME! IT was REALLY SPIRIT LED and POWERFUL!

And the pastor shared much more abt the power of the HOLY SPIRIT...some really SUPERNATURAL stories of GOD MIRACLES! and well its sooo REAL..bcoz we really have a SUPERNATURAL GOD!And why im sharing all this now in my blog is.. like they said...we sld be testimony of GOD. And we sld SHARE and GIVE ALL PRAISE to GOD whenever we encounter GOD personally.

He shared that many ppl have second hand experience with GOD, for example, seeing and hearing stories from other christians, maybe hearing from a pastor, or maybe seeing how a Christian behave... and if lets say a Christian doesnt behave like one.. and a non Christian have a second hand faith on that... that isnt very good... so if one have a FIRST HAND FAITH from GOD... than thats something which is really REAL and personal from GOD. And so before we can share to others..we NEED this FIRST HAND FAITH! or FIRST HAND ENCOUNTER with GOD. And I truly believed that ALL Christians sld have experience GOD at least once in their life!... and after they have this FIRST HAND FAITH..they sld SHARE it! To edify, encourage others and to be used as a testimony for GOD! ... when i reflected back the last 2 yrs...GOD has used many leaders and pastors to prophesied over me in many situations...and GOD has indeed REVEALED how true and real those prophesies abt me right till now! Soon i wld share 3-4 significant prophesy that has come true! And thats wad we sld do. SHARE the things GOD HAS SHOWN AND REVEALED in our lifes! Anyway there were sooo many topics that he shared and preach abt... but this was one of the significant few that spoke to me...
...and all it took was a real NATURAL preacher and someone to listen! I was INSPIRED! =)

THE MOST EXPENSIVE MEAL I EVER PAID!!!! JAP FOOD!!!!!!

Just came back from a EXTREMELY FILLING DINNER with vyan,keith and elliot at this Japanese restaurant in Tajong Katong area. Its an ALL YOU CAN EAT JAP FOOD! And i broke 2 personal records! FIRST THE MOST EXPENSIVE dinner i ever paid by a huge margin! SECOND..i can say THE MOST I EVER ATE IN ONE MEAL!!!!
We ateeee almost everything on the menu! Imagine 4 HUNGRY GUYS AND UNLIMITED food you can order! TOTAL COST $42 each!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have NEVER PAID this much just for one person...but i guess ALL THOSE tons of UNAGIs, SALMON, sashimis, soft-soil crab, to sushi to pregnant fishes and many moreeeee jap food was actually worth the amount we ate. WE ateee till the last order at 9.45pm and was the LAST ppl to leave the restaurant... BLOATED NOW!

(The yakitori chicken killed most of us..it was HUGE!... just for your info if you think this is a lot...there were many many more dishes that i miss out here.... and after the TONS AND TONS of plates that we ordered. We finally had DESSERT!...ordered 2 sets of it!!!! ....and TADA!!... BILL of $164!!!!!

When i thought the birthday surprise i did for wenhao a few weeks ago was great! THIS TIME! I CAN SAY IT WAS A MUCH MORE PERFECT SURPRISE!!!! and there was not just one shocker, not two but THREEE!!!!

It all started when we were just planning to have a Birthday Surprise for Soe's... den later realise moonie and laura birthday's weren't too long ago too. So it was like this laura thought was just for soe, and moonie thought it was for soe and laura...but was, in fact, for the 3 of them. TRIPLE BIRTHDAY SURPRISE!!!

Well...but back to the orginal plan... first Cherie plan to meet soe, and SOE was TOTALLY OBLIVIOUS to everything.... as cherie constantly contacted back to us...she pretended soooo well that she was talking to her mom instead, and cherie cld convinced soe so easily to go to a particular place where we were all preparing for the surprise...

POLAR BEAR!!!!!!

(we decided to play polar bear after the bang game.... AND YOU KNOW WHAT...we TOOK FIVE rounds before we started a PROPER GAME of polar bear..somehow the first 5 rounds...we had to set the rules right from the many polar bear version... and after like the 6th round..we had one AWESOME polar bear match! The debate,guessing and deceiving was really pure class!

I gotta admit I never had such an enjoyable time with my WONDERFUL small grp God's Clay for soooooooo long..the last time we had this much fun was more than a YEAR ago during our last small grp retreat in December 2006... although this wasn't the full grp but this sureeeeee was A BLAST FOR ALL OF US!
