A Spirit Led Meeting....
Just came back from one of the most personal ministering and insightful sunday service working grp meeting today(SSWG)....imagine being in a room full of really spirt-filled and mature christian leaders, certiantly with the same Spirit in all us! GOD defintely can do something! And he DID...

Personally, to see how this "secret" meeting grp has been moving into has really excite me so much of the movement of where the whole youth ministry is heading towards too. As all the submin heads from (phileos,to crosstrainers,to 12 stones,to Creative arts,ushers and the sunday service manager and comm) coming together in one room, praying and worshiping God in unison and in One Spirit,and seeing how God has been working in our midst each time as we work out sunday service to be as excellent as possible...

And certainly this time the Holy Spirit led us to a whole new level,from the usual plannings, which prompted Adriel to share us a very insightful short bible study impromptu on serving in ministry, which i went back to read again and reflect on before sharing it here...

1 Corinthians 3:1-17
1)The Partnership of Work(with God)
(v.5-9) God calls us to work along side Him (its not base on different personalities working alongside each, ITS ALL GOD WORKING,ALL work, starts and ends with God)

"...I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building... "

2)Foundation of Work
(v.10-15) HAS TO BE CHRIST ALONE (ministry cannot be of any self desires at all)
God will test our work we done for Him thru "fire" , to see the quality of man's work(e.g, if is the minsitry base on self? or God?

"...By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should be careful how he builds. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ..."

3)The Goal of work is PEOPLE (V.16-17)
Refer to (v.9) again, the Holy Spirit is working in all of us! He lives in us! Thus God is working thru people...

"...Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple..."

Reflection...Is the minsitry we serve in (base on any self desires at all? Or is it ALL GOD alone!)

JESUS MUST BE THE CENTRE FOCUS!!!! ITS A MUST!!!!! Only then the Holy Spirit can work thru the minstry and THE LORD's WIL.....WILL BE DONE in the ministry and the PEOPLE!

After all this.... Eugene(who recently came back on Holiday from his school in Hillsong), shared to us some insights from his learnings the past year, and there was sooo much to take back from the way they run their services and the church!!! he constantly mentioned how EVERY SINGLE member plays a part in the whole church and services, even the small mundane things are part of God's big plan! And also similar like Adriel sharing, he also mention that the church focus is the PEOPLE there! Its like they have this strong Spirit of ENCOURAGEMENT for one another! really giving that LOVING atmosphere to everyone! Another taking back point is, they all HAVE OWNERSHIP of the minstry, what if all 500 youths and leaders in YM have the OWNERSHIP of their minsitry...imagine how happening it will be! Anyways summary of his whole sharing is for us to have PASSION,VISION and DIRECTION... Its so true! Ministry is really about reaching the needs of these PEOPLE...and thats what sunday service sld be focus too!
