CONNECT CONFERENCE 2007 (September 21-22 at ACS Barker)

Day 1
Just came back from a 2 day conference by Campus Crusade and Navigators! It was a really good time of catching up with other crusaders from all over Singapore! but most of all also to have a time of CONNECTING with GOD!

First sermon was by Rev Edmund Chan, his a really anointed speaker. He shared abt bringing God's Kingdom into the Market place. His personal stories really showed the SUPERNATURAL part of GOD and it was really amazing! wont really go into the details,but just wanna share that we sld desire to see UNUSUAL BUSINESS from GOD!
Day 2
Rev Edmund Chan started the second day conference...this time the main thing i remembered abt his message was from an illustration which he came out with.. the story abt "the one arm swordsman" ..basically to summaries the whole story..this swordsman got his right arm which was his master arm CHOP off by his own master, eventhough his master ask him to Trust him still. And he was left to train and master his weaker left arm with much hardship. But in the end he MASTERED his left arm and became a powerful one arm swordsman. So this story shows that God can throw a tough circumstance in our life, like "CUT" off our right arm but its all part of his perfect purpose for us still. And all we need is to TRUST in WHAT his doing.
So there was an altar call about giving our TOTAL SURRENDER to God. Even if it means getting our right hand cut. Well as my Faith is so much stronger now, i was willing to take this step of faith again. And as the concert hall had no altar ministry space we use the stage instead. And at least 95% of the people in that conference there went up and knelt down to make that commitment to GOD! It was really amazing!

After that break.. Mr Jason Mandryk from CANADA who has visited over 55 countries did like some history talk abt the Christianity in the WORLD.

Workshop next! Did the one on Conversation Evangelism by Dave Geisler! It was a pretty good session on sharing christ with ANYONE at ANYTIME!

Last speaker was Rev Wee Boon Hup doing a sermon which was basically talking abt "loving your neighbours as yourself"! It was like half reuse sermon from the recent YMLC i went lor! HAHHA!
