Started of today by playing soccer with Jem,nick and their friends at TP at like 12 noon! IT WAS HOT!!!!!!!!!!!! Then headed to Bras Basah Complex mainly to visit Grace who was working at Tecman! I've always wanted to check out this christian bookshop paradise! and finally got this chance!
And than our search for this bookshop took quite awhile! FIRST,we found it at level 1! but was wondering why that was SHOP so SMALL!figured that the main outlet was at lvl 4. So we finally reach lvl 4 by WALKING ALL THE WAY UP bcoz the escalators were SPOILED! walk one round and found it! We looked in and notice that the SHELVES were EMPTY! We took a while before we realise that there was another outlet at the same lvl! AND sooo after much walking and after the 3rd try we FINALLY FOUND the real TECMAN shop!phew!
We decided to find a book each and sit down and read since we got abt 3 hrs plus to spare before we meet the other crusaders. I read "THE JOURNEY" by Billy Graham...and nick and jem read other books. We found a cosy corner...and after sometime..a staff told us not to sit down there. So we stand..and i continued....and after sometime ANOTHER staff came to us and was like indirectly telling us NOT to read but buy the book instead..... and i kinda guess that the staff weren't too happy with us reading here....so after abt a couple of hrs there we decided to leave the shop! found out later that the staff was not too happy with Grace bcoz of US! We felt soo bad lor! sighhhh!
Anyway it was quite coool checking out the other shops here! Spend sometime at Swee Lee music shop! Nick was teaching us a crash course in Drumming! He's A VERY GOOD DRUMMER LOR! And first time seeing a 12 string Guitar too!Got the chance to play this EXPENSIVE guitar!! The feel of it was like WOAHHH!!
After that headed to Basheer Graphic Books where it had like ALMOST all the COOLEST design books ever! This was another shop that i always wanted to check out!Browse thru like up to 10 Interior design and exhibition design books there!!!!
OH YEAA BUMP into denise,jolyn and glenda too!(STALKERS LOR! hahha!okkk la jk..still wondered how they knew i was there!)
After 3 hrs plus of walking and checkin out all those cool stores! Jem,nick and me were EXHAUSTED from all those walking! and finally grace had finish her work and she help me buy the book i was reading with a staff discount of 40%! OH YEAAA!THANKS GRACE! met up with yapmin and jess later for dinner! And we had a niceee crusade fellowship time there! GOOD DAY!
(This book basically abt the JOURNEY of a CHRISTIAN! and reading it just reassures me how EXCITING and JOYFUL a Christian life actually is! AND ITS SOOOOOOOOOOOO TRUE lor! I'm soooooooooo HAPPY that i have JESUS CHRIST as my LORD and SAVIOUR!)
This last week of Holiday is FINALLY getting more exciting! with Tmr(tuesday) Running 10.5km with wenhao in macritchie!,wednesday-mentoring session with gladwin and maybe gym after that, thursday - CLASS gathering!, Friday-Crusade outing in SENTOSA!, Saturday-classmate BIRTHDAY at some lunch buffet place! COOL RIGHT! WHAHAH!
AND SUDDENLY i'm reading my 4th christian book in a mth lor!And i was NEVER a reader until this HOLIDAY! somehow i guess it also started after YMLC when my grp mentor Pastor Bernard Chao was asking us how often we read christian books. OH WELL SUDDENLY FOUND THE JOY in reading books!Actually ONLY GOOD CHRISTIAN BOOKS!
