VERY THOUGHTFUL Mentoring session!!! Some of my deep thoughtssssss.....
Started my day first by having a nice looooooooong walk with Gladwin and Caroline from ywca to Killiney Road to have lunch just now. It was something different from the usual park mall/Plaza sing food. Well the FOOD was pretty good! But most of all...Really ENJOYED the fellowship time with them! =)
Anyway just came back from a very very FRUITFUL thoughtful mentoring session with Gladwin...
I have LIKE TONS of things in my brain right now!dunno how i'm gonna transfer my thoughts here..
oh well... the session with him at dome actually set me thinking abt X-trainers and YM minsitry as a whole. If i'm really gonna assist in heading Xtrainers in the future and seeing really GOD working in the ministry not just in x-traniers but in YM as a whole as well.. THERES REALLY SOOOO MUCH WE need to get started on... And in order to see a movement going on... i really need to give my FULL COMMITMENT, its gonna be tough with me now in the servant team in Tp crusade too. But i'm trusting God in this. Well NOTHING IS IN POSSIBLE with God!
From the discussion we had from the book "On being a servant of God"..it led to some question abt how? why? we serve in ministry. And it came back to how we plan events in X-trainers for example? Are we really putting God in the picture? or are we working like those sports clubs? When i thought deeper into it....i think sometimes we might fall into the latter. We got to sit back and realize WHY are we organizing such events for YM? We can't do it for the sake of it..just to fill in the programmes, or just for fellowship sake(well yes FELLOWSHIP is important)... BUT its actually more than that... like HOW our events can actually make a different in someone's life? how someone can learn and take back from it? But MOST of all how we can GLORIFY GOD from the events we organize!
And from all this thoughts... i figured it came back to us! the people planning or executing the events in the ministry. We have to RELY on GOD to USE us! And before GOD can use US! FIRST OF and MOST IMPORTANTLY of all... Our walk with GOD has to be STRONG and CONSISTENT...and of course we have to always go back to the WORD! We have to be mature in coming out with the activities.. and allow GOD to USE us to minister to YM from our events.
That was only one aspect of my thoughts from that session... if i really wanna give my full commitment in this... and DO SOMETHING... i have to really sit down and discuss together with the other x trainer head in the future like stacy and issac. And hopefully we can catch the same vision in doing our part for the ministry.
When i think abt this more...i recall how i have always said i wanted to be A CHANGE MAKER for YM ever since YM camp 05! and now... I can actually really DO SOMETHING ABT IT!oh yeaaa sounds exciting!
Just got an sms by Sen to lead in the NITE GAMES planning for combined ministry retreat on 30NOV! oh well! Hopefully its gonna be just as FUN as last yr nite games! OR THIS TIME EVEN BETTER OH YEAAAA! =P ...for now need help in the planning!SO ANYONE OUT THERE! wanna help me!do lemme noe!THANKS =)
