Todays message by Adriel was pretty good as usual... and it did continue to affirm me of what GRACE from GOD really is! Although what you are abt to read maybe still a little "chim" for some youths... but its pretty deep to what it really really means to us actually... and if you understand and apply what im saying from Adriel's sermon.. im quite sureee it MIGHT actually CHANGE YOUR LIFE TOO!
Covenant of Law- To be blessed you need to earn it.
Covenant of Grace- to be blessed, God has Done it,, you need to RECEIVE BY FAITH
Wrong thinking 1
-forgiveness of sin(Justification) is by grace but freedom from sin (Sanctification)is by the law
"Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort? Galatians 3:3"
Wrong thinking 2
If freedom from Sin is by grace,then the law is useless.
"Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. Galatians 3:23"
-THE LAW IS PROTECTIVE (its there to protect us...but its our free will if we want to obey it or not still..but then again...by our FLESH...we will always fail the law..its like when someone tell us not to do something..our human nature wld want to just go against the law and do it)
"Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin. Romans 3:20"
-The law brings consciousness of sin
"For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature,God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man Romans 8:3,4"
-bcoz of our FLESH, its as good as saying the law is powerless..as no matter how much laws are imposed to us, our flesh wld give in to some extent in this WORLD.
-The Law cannot change your heart.

If freedom from sin comes from grace, then I don;t have to do anything.
well DON'T focus on SIN...BUT focus on GOD
And because of this... the song "TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS" which we sand earlier meant so much to me now and even like Adriel also said it comes so nicely with his point here.
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.
Looking at GRACE
-Bcoz of CHRIST perfect life & death on the cross, all that Christ has (God's Love,blessing and power, has given us.)
-Sanctification is the actualization of WHO God has already made you & what God has already given you.
GRACE + FAITH = BLESSING
So some will ask how do we receive GOD's GRACE then?
Well what you guys are abt to read... APPLYS so closely to my heart too...
It alls goes back to the basics...
FAITH + SURRENDER + INTIMACY
Faith- READ the Word, KNOW the Word,CLAIM the Word
Surrender- Surrender ourselves and our lives to the Lordship of Christ
Intimacy- To walk close to God, practice discipline of prayer,worship,resting & Listening to God
Ministry- This is another additional act where ones serve in a ministry in church.
This 4 Acts of FAITH are the means by which we actualize who we already become in JESUS CHRIST.
Well those who LASTED reading until this line....the next line is just something which my crusade DGL once told me before, and adriel had a similar analogy.
Maybe you can follow and do this now...
"Lets say your holding your hand phone on your palm facing up..would you dare turn your palm around and let go of your fingers?"
Thats something which SURRENDER actually is? Doing something hard by the act of your will... BUT to let go the SELF desires of your heart to let GOD be in ABSOLUTE 100 PERCENT CONTROL of your life. Thats something i would CHALLENGE all of you reading this. NOT that im telling u to drop ur handphone!... but to... SURRENDER YOUR LIFE TOTALLY TO GOD!
THIS ACT of TOTAL Surrender to God CHANGE MY LIFE!... and i STRONGLY BELIEVED it can CHANGE YOURS too...IF your able to do that. =)
