What a day yesterday at sentosa, fort susilo beach... It started really bad.. we were suppose to have a camp ignite reunion outing at palawan beach in sentosa. I met up with kenneth abt 10 plus before we took a train there. When we arrive at palawan beach.. We only saw the Gls and yr 2 s we were the onli freshies around!!!!
It felt sooo awkward... We stayed a distant away from them, and decided to head down to fort siloso beach instead..since there was a beach soccer tournament. I remembered seeing my friend Hafiz in the newpaper a couple days ago representing singapore u-20 playing against the boys from brazil. They won some soccer tournament at ngee ann city a couple weeks ago and had the prevailage to take on the Brazilians today!

I wasnt really sure it really was hafiz in the newpaper dat day..UNTIL we were walking towards the beach soccer courts. And i SAW hafiz training there with his team Vanuatu. What a coincidence.It was really indeed him. WOW..his so lucky to be able to take on the brazilians! They were treated like stars the boys from brazil, the singapore u-20 and u-23 had poster of each individual player..so coooool. I envy hafiz! haha.

During the whole day before this highlight match... me and kenneth watched the tournaments being played earlier on and also played soccer with some of the yr 2 s. It was quite fun in the end. We got FREE limited edition Bandanas from these Brazilian models. There were some pretty good teams which had pretty good skills. The boys from brazil arrive at the scene half way and they were invited by a rowdy applause. This Boys from brazil are players in the 20 plus, they are the World Beach soccer 3 rd place team. And one of their players has a record of 129 goals in 25 games!!! SUPERB ritghtttt!!! this is wad the singaporeans had to face!
The boys from brazil showed off their skills agianst team nokia which they trashed 5-0, with goals dat were scored spectacularly, with skillfull bicyle kicks and volleys what a strong team!!!

After this there was this mini game whereby u can volunteer to see who can juggle the ball the longest. I was so ready to try it out, but now hav some regrets of not doin so in the end. As each participant won some limited freebies. I shld had taken this chance.. Haizzz

I met up with hafiz jus before his match and was wishing him all the best and told him to BEAT the BAZILIANS!
The first 2 matches against the boys from brazil was from the winner of the u-20 and u-23 beach soccer tournamnet earlier in the day. And u noe wad the brazilians let in their first goal when this u-20 team scored. What a surprise but they were outmatched i the end, same as the u-23 team. No chance, although both teams playued really hard.

NOW here comes the Highlight of the day!!! REPRESENTING singapore u-20! Team Vanuatu VS Boys from Brazil. The boys from brazil had a hard time tryin to show off their skills against the s'pore u-20. The brazilians were so much older and more experoence but they couldnt score past team singpapore. Soon euff Singapore SCORED!!!!!!!!!! And it was 1-0 almost throughout the game. Until late in the dying mins the Brazilian equalised.. I could tell that the brazilians weren't givin any chance at all they tackled hard and cld see they didnt one to lose to s'pore. My friend hafiz really took them down. They played so hard an held them to a 1-1 draw at ful time.. Now its penalty kicks. Brazil took the first kick and HE MISSED!!!!! Singapore now onli needed to score.. Haifz took this kick and scored!!!!!!!!!!! SINGAPORE HAS BEATEN WORLD BEACH SOCCER CHAMPS BOYS FROM BRAZIL TEAM!!! And they were onli u-20 s. WHAT A GAME..In the end the s'pore u-23 lost 3-0 to them although they also gave a really tough fight too. But at the end of the day... SIngapore beat soccer PROS the Brazilian national beach soccer team! And my friend scored the Winning GOAL!
