It was one eventful day today again... i was suppose to meet up with some of my close cj classmates today, but somehow the plan didnt work out... so as usual, simon was free today.. so he called us up to hang out with him.... so wen hao, jess and me met up with him at orchard and we headed to cineleisure to catch a movie... well we were actually tinking of wad show to watch and i saw the movie "The Prestige"... i actually had no idea what it was abt, onli rmb seeing the ratings for the show which was pretty good and rmb seeing a trailer of it before... Well wen hao and simon tot it was some violent show dat involve some mafia but we found out later, that violent show was The departed and not the prestige...BUT i really had no regrets man! This is one movieeee U MUST WATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wont give much details of the show...dun wan to spoil the show for u guys....but this is a gist of the movie... "In 1878, two young stage magicians clash in a darkened salon during the course of a fraudulent seance. From this moment on, their lives become webs of deceit and exposure, secrets and revelations, as they feud to outwit and destroy one another. Their rivalry takes them both to the peak of their careers, but with terrible consequences." This movie really showed the life of two really dedicated MAGICIAN trying to outwit each other and it really shows the depth of how much they do just to perform and steal each other tricks! The plot of this show really keeps u in suspense and to see what this 2 guys fight of just for the BEST MAGIC TRICK EVER PERFORM! And the twist at the end really was the icing of the cake to this POWER PACK movie! WATCH ITTTTTT! i rate it 4.8/5 STARS!!! ok maybe 5 starts! haha!
After the movie... wen hao left and somehow it was left the 3 of us again... we ate dinner at KOBAYASHI.... and we didnt expect to really have a part 2 to the super inspirational conversation we had last week! It was really DE JA VU!!! This time... i shared to them abt my really weird dream yesterday and how i really wanna find out wad it means! As i noe God put this dreams for a reason... and from this topic it change to black magic! CRISS ANGEL to DAVID Blaine to David Copperfield..and den i recalled..just the day before i dreamt abt magic and today i jsut watched a magic movie? Coincidence??? oh well... from that topic we came to christianity again... and This time... Simon brought up this question abt "BLIND FAITH" and "FAITH"! And den he threw this really strong question that may shock some of u guys reading this now... prepared for the chim part, absorb it slowly and i try my best to convey the main message of it......READY!!!...... he shared abt The BIBLE having "faults"??? Jess and me were stun!... although i ever came across bible contradictions, i have some of the answers later in this entry...Well... he gave some verse dat his DGL shared with him and we read it together... well although this faults like difference in figures are in the current bible... he said that well...God may put this faults for a reason...and he do have a good point there when he said that in the bible it said how God will use the foolishness to stun the wise(this is a paraphrase).... and well God may have allowed this foolishness of man who translate the bible to stun the wise who reasearch on the bible?... and this brings this to a whole new level... Isn't the BIBLE "PERFECT"? well... man created the word perfect rite? Wads perfect to u? faultless? Basically... it brings this question to a whole new meaning, we cld infer from all this in the bible as another way of seeing things... so u look at it again... God cld have allowed this faults for a reason? Test your faith? i dunno exactly but it didnt stumble my faith at all! Infact i went back and did a research on it and ask my dad...for the first part on jesus geaonology in matthew and the other in Luke... my dad said that matthew was actually written for the Jews and Luke for the gentiles so they are different in this way and one was actually from joseph side and the other actually mary side... so thats the explanation for the different fathers, although they both said under joseph, like one cld be in laws of joseph cant rmb which one though. And for the second part abt the Asa empire... my dad have this bk abt all kinds of alleged descrepancies of the bible and he pointed up that the verse was indeed a fault in the translation from the original hebrew to the english version in terms of the years, there was more explanation to why in the faults but to looong to write.... so Simon, there is a good explanation to all this faults actually. Thanks for bringing this question up anyway! thru out this conversation we actually had people around us staring or somehow looking or eaves dropping to our conversation as usual... Well it was another inspirational chat again as we came to the topic abt church and crusade again... really learnt a lot from today again!
